my daughter is going backpacking in april for a year and we are having a party for her and we want it to be an australian theme any ideas where we start cheers x

buy those hats with the rims you know the ones i mean. and make the dangly cork things. but if you dont have enough corks then i would suggest buying a load of cheap tampax (sounds grose bear with me) dipping them in some stewed tea then squeeze them out,hang them to dry on the radiators and then tie them to you hats,get a load of fosters or castlemaine 4x behind the bar,wack the "I come from a land down under" or a bit of Rolf Harris on the decks and way hay parrrrthay. We did it for my sister when she went to australia for a month,she loved it!

If you live anywhere near London, there is an Australian shop in Covent Garden that sells all sorts of Aussie food and ornaments. I would especially recommend the Tim Tams. Kind of like a Penguin choc bar but you dip them in tea and suck the tea through the middle, once the tea hits your mouth you push the Tim Tam in and in melts in the mouth. Absolutely delicious!!
