what are they called? Zenical?
Question Author
I am sorry but I cannot remember
If you eat an excessive amount of fat or calories, the excess is stored as fat by the body, resulting in weight gain. When you eat fat, your body breaks it down into its simplest components so that it can be digested. Unlike other weight-loss drugs you may have heard about that act in the brain or central nervous system to suppress appetite or to speed up metabolism, Zenical works in your digestive system to block about one-third of the fat in the food you eat from being digested. Enzymes in your digestive system, called lipases, help digest (or break down) fat. When taken with meals, Zenical attaches to the lipases and blocks them from breaking down some of the fat you have eaten. The undigested fat cannot be absorbed and is eliminated in your bowel movements. By working this way, Zenical helps block about one-third of the fat in the foods you eat from being absorbed by your body.

Thank you for that - do you know if there are any side effects?
yes If you eat alot of Fatty foods then make sure your near a toilet if you know what i mean. your stools will become oily as its the fat deposits. The good thing is it re-educates you as to the foods with less fat in and you then avoid the fatty ones as when you eat fatty foods then you would soon know you did, I also drink alot of water with it. I apologies if its to graphic.

Have you had them - were they a success I only want to take them for a couple of weeks - to kick start my new fitness programme
I have taken them yes they do work.
I don't wish to pry into any personal problems you may have, but at what point will a doctor prescribe this medication? I too have a weight issue - but don't know if my problem is 'bad' enough to take slimming tablets.
