How do these work? I was driving down a duel carriageway in a 50mph speed limit. I was NOT speeding. I was doing 48mph. However, the ambulance overtaking me with blues and twos clearly WAS speeding and it set off the camera. Will the camera know that it wasn't me? Or will I have to fight this in court?

Sorry, I meant dual carriageway. There were not two blokes fighting with pistols at dawn, honest.
I was once told that the camera will identfy each car's speed, so I don't think you need to worry, especially as the person who told me was a traffic copper! Also the film will clearly show who was in the fast lane. :o)
The police will measure each vehicles speed relative to the markings on the ground. It will then prove you were driving correctly and you will hear nothing about it.
It flashes twice, taking 2 pictures at known time intervals apart, and they use the distance travelled between the pictures to establish the speed of the vehicle.
