Dpes anyone think the treatment of jodie marsh in the cBB house is a bit over the top?

I get the feeling they are using her as a scapegoat, jumping on the bandwagon etc in order to protect themselves from being targets.

I think barrymore should know better than anyone about people being unfair targets.

pete and george are just bullies and the others are just following them.

I know JM is quite vile at times and talks a lot of crap - but so what? why do they care? she has done nothing to them.

I agree, Jodie's being picked on. First time I've watched BB, and only because it's co-called celebrities, and I'm almost ashamed to admit I'm finding it really fascinating.

Barrymore's being pathetic, and manipulative. He desperately wants to make himself out to be the sensitive goody-goody that's being picked on. Pete's just being a mouthy, opinionated diva, but I don't know anything about him, maybe that's the way he always is. Rula's just a perfect example of what smoking does for you - scrawny skin, coughing constantly, always with a fan on the go. Apart from that, she's generally easygoing. Chantelle is just a bit immature, but she's okay, she hasn't done anything bad although to listen to Barrymore you'd think she was a serial killer. Denis is just a sad, egotistical dork and obviously sees himself as irresistible (the women though seem to find it easy enough to resist him). George, for some reason, has taken Barrymore under his wing and feels responsible for him (or is making out that's how he feels). The others are less obtrusive, and yes, in general they are acting like a pack, ganging up on Jodie, who's done nothing at all really, except be a bit abrasive and argumentative.

Maybe she made herself a target when she made a point of taking them on over the fur coat, instead of just keeping her opinions and beliefs to herself. Regardless of what she thinks, she started an argument she couldn't win - it's each to his own, and some of them are meat eaters, etc, and will never agree with her.

It is Jodie who has been bullying the others. She has been aggressive and confrontational and can't stand anybody disagreeing with her. When they tried having a logical discussion she was outraged that they dared to disagree with her, and was incapable of absorbing rational arguments. I hope she gets evicted by a huge vote a.s.a.p.

i always watch BB because i feel it gives me an insight in to human nature - and its not often you get to see both sides of an argument or people two faces, i know a lots of it is for the game or for the camera, but still the tricks and twisted games people play stun me every time.

its a safety in numbers thing, become a pack and go for the weakest one (or in this case the one that rubs most people up the wrong way)

I think they also think that the public will agree with them as they know her reputation, thereby giving them some safety.

as I say, she is a bit annoying and over the top at at times, but she just says everything that comes into her head - wrong or right.

i don't like the way they have started calling them "the kids" and "how dare they speak to an older person that way" BOLLEX! If you speak to someone badly, you have to expect to be spoken to in the same way - or say nothing.

if barrymore, george or pete spoke to me the why they spoke to jodie they wouldn't know what hit them! - age -my arse!

to be fair bernardo, it looked to me like they were ganging up on her, so it wasn't so much that they disagreed, but the way they went about the discussion. They clearly thought she was thick and were revelling in trying to 'bring her down'. she may not be brain of britain but even she could see thats what they were doing.

I am not saying she has done nothing wrong - i agree she is argumentative and coarse but she was called evil and nasty and all sorts of things! bit much!

i'd like to know why so many are ganging up on her?

Yes Joko, I think its totally over the top. And yes she is pretty vile at times, but so is Pete Burns. Yet no one dares to have a go at him.

good point minxie. PB is so nasty people are a bit scared of him. JM is just a moaner and says stupid things but she hasn't set out to be so viciously cruel to anyone as pete has.

barrymore needs to rewind a bit and remember what its like to be attacked from all sides and accused of evil doings!

i live in liverpool and work in the entertainment industry and know a few people who know or have met PB and they say he is as he seems, nasty and cruel with an over inflated ego

I dont know why PB has such an inflated ego. He had one hit single didnt he? I think the only time I have ever seen him in the papers is in the section "where plastic surgery went wrong"! as a joke figure. Yet he swans around on BB like he is a superstar. Also, have you seen the way he eats! I say, give Jodie a break.

The closet 'ologist in me is fascinated. While I pledge no allegience to any of the characters , it does make you wonder about the suitability of the candidates to place them selves in such a volatile goldfish bowl environment. My hand -wringing relatives think it is an apaulling premise for a programme, they call it car crash tv. If it promotes discussion I can see some benefit. Gorgeous? George ... don't get me started, I can't afford the law suit!
