Greetings, everyone!

A decent enough (in my opinion) FIVE out of seven for me in the main quiz this week:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-65040607

Aunty Beeb seems to have got her knickers in a twist with the junior quiz this week. She's published last week's one again by mistake! So we can't all prove how childlike we are this week :-(

Here's a quiz on British scientific discoveries, taken from BBC Bitesize (which is primarily targeted at GCSE students) to make up for it though:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zn2chbk
(TEN out of ten for me - which only goes to show how easy it is, I think!)

A decent enough (again, in my opinion) SIX out of ten for me in the Timed Teaser this week:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-65015765

So that's an aggregate score of 21 for you all to beat. I know that Lie-in King will (because he always does!) but what about the rest of you?

I hang my head in shame. 3 out of 7! Pass the sackcloth and ashes!
Good Evening, Chris!
Sad to see no junior quiz this week - might have boosted my score!
5/7 on main
6/10 on bitesize
8/10 on timed :-) Yay! My best ever score on this one!
Still not enough to beat you overall this week.
Well done on that 10/10 - very impressive!
Hope you and kitties have a fun packed week :-)

Well, it's a 'pass mark', at least, Bookbinder ;-)

Very well done with that impressive 8/10, Karamia!
(I'd have kicked myself if I got less than 10 in the science-based quiz. I did teach the subject, alongside maths, afer all!)

The kitties always seem to have a fun-packed week (where 'fun' usually involves annoying their tame human in some way). I'll just settle for a bit of peace and quiet in my week ;-)

I hope that you have a good week too!
Four on the news quiz and six on the timed.
And an almight ten on the bite sized.

Welcome to the Terrific Ten club, Cashier!

Well a better result this week

Just back from helping one of grandsons celebrate his 18th and i don't know if the half dozen pints of Tetley Smooth helped or hindered my thinking?
Evening Chris.

Hope this finds you well ; ))

Well done, Kwillmott! Solid scores throughout this week!

Hiya, Patsy. Some respectable scores there, I see!

You need addled thinking to even contemplate drinking Tetley Smooth in the first place, I reckon, Ken ;-)
[Mind you, it's probably still quite a bit better than what me and my mates would have been drinking at parties when we were 18 years old: https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/NINTCHDBPICT000496712877.jpg ]

Well done on achieving impressive scores throughout this week, anyway!
Didn't have much of a choice, Chris, it was either Tetley or draught Pilsner. Or, even worse, bottled beer.
4, 10 and 8. I knew all the science ones but a few guesses in the timed.

Wow! I've finally matched (but still not beaten) Lie-in King's scores for once! Welcome to the club - three times over - Lie-in King!

Hi Sam! Well done with that 8/10!
(Yes, I'm well, thanks. as I hope that you are too).
To celebrate his 18th with his first LEGAL drink, my grandson had...................................................................a glass of water. I'm now almost totally convinced he's not one of mine. Apparently, he's in training for a charity boxing match. Wimp!
Question Author
I'm rather fond od some of the better draught Pilsner beers, Ken - and some of the very best beers come in bottles nowadays!

Ruddy 'eck, Milo2! I finally match the mighty Lie-in King's scores and then you go and beat both of us! WELL DONE INDEED!
I think I'm getting worse (blame Shingles).
2/7 10/10 6/10 So that is 18 in aggregate.
Question Author
I've just checked the pictures from my grandson's 18th last month, Ken, and I don't think that he was drinking water ;-)

[Mind you, he's one of the best young rugby players in the country. Rugby just seems to go with beer, doesn't it?]

Question Author
Welcome to the Terrific Ten club, anyway, Jourdain2 ;-)

[Get well soon!]
