I have two columns named meters and feet in ms excel. i can put input in either feet column or in meters column. i want excel to convert feet into meters if i give input in feet column and convert meters into feet if give input in meters column.

If you have a formula in both columns, then when you input data into a cell in one column it would give the converted figure in the corresponding cell in the other column. Wouldn't that work then whichever cell you entered the data into.
Just to clarify- if you enter say 5 feet into cell A10 (say) the value would overwrite the formula so it would show 5 feet. In cell B10 the calculation would kick in and convert it metres. The same would happen the other way round if you entered the metre value into B11 it would mean the calculation in A11 would kick in
Is Ms Excel any relation to Ms Pacman ?
