Morning to you Sqad !

My favourite was when the donkey did a whoopsie ! Alos the filmed sequence when he was on roller skates and held on to the back of the double-decker bus....all his own work apparently !

That type of humour was great in its time. I'm sure it would work these days though. I may be wrong.
I feel very optimistic about this. All the generation-shifted sitcoms, Still Open All Hours, First of the Summer Wine, Rock and Chips etc. haven't worked for us but this is Michael Crawford is still playing Frank Spencer in a one-off, so I think it will be good. The only problem could be that Michael might be, shall we say, less agile than he was 40 years ago.
Absolute nightmare. No!
If this is a one off I imagine it will be a bit of fun. I like daft! I doubt I'll watch the Sport Relief thing though. Those things are not usually my viewing choice.
Why do you say absolute nightmare jolly japes . Would you rather watch violent scenes etc . There are not enough of these programmes that you can actually have a good laugh .mrs browns boys good for a laugh if you are not prudish .
One thing always strikes me about the character of Frank Spencer - I have yet to see a single impression of him that is within a country mile of how he actually sounded or appeared.

Whoa! Expressing a dislike for a comedy scene does not equate with a wish for violent scenes to replace it!
considering betty's still with him it's a tribute to her patience and resilience

Could say the same for Doris, Ael.....☺

I look forward to this, Mikey......love Michael Crawford......x
doris has many virtues but patience isn't one of them ...

Going by some of your posts gness I have a feeling there are similarities.
;o)
Baldric.....I've heard my kids say......Lord.....it's like living with Frank Spencer some days....... :-(

Ooooh gnessy!!!!
☺☺☺....x
Michelle Dotrice died not all that long ago, didn't she? Could be a problem, as well as him not being as agile. Good for him to try, anyway.

One foot in the Grave would be more believeable. He could be a ghost, complaining away - any scriptwriters around?
Not my type of humour.
The humour was a gentle slap stick style, It wouldn't work with today's generation. Its too mild and it will be pc to conform with today's standards. It will only appeal to memory laners.
michelle dotrice is alive and kicking according to google
