My parents went bat *** crazy when i asked them if my little sister could sleep with you guys. I said it with a friendly tone but my dad got very angry about it. So i was just wondering if this is really rude, and what i can use instead of "you guys". I am born and raised in australia and my parents are from south east asia. Are any other parents offended by this language?

The parents are from SE Asia so might expect more of a show of respect.

Yea they don't but they do worry about not cleaning enough and not being smart. They want a doctor or lawyer (which i will never be ... lets be real) because its every asian parents dream come true (gives them bragging rights HAHAHA asian parent stereotypes are somewhat true).
m8 - I know a guy who calls his mother and father by their names. My sister and I find that very disrespectful. Dont think his mother and father like it either.
One of my sons often calls be my name. I don't mind...
