why oh why did I decide to ditch my tried and tested and never had a problem with Norton, for Kaspersky total security? Because everything I read says Norton is very resource heavy and Kaspersky is just, well, better.

first it would only work on the day I downloaded (or uploaded, im not sure) it. whenever I turned the computer off it would not reload.

managed to discov that I needed to download a patch and that resolved that issue.

but now im being spammed by the message 'cannot establish encrypted connection'

after carrying out the suggestion to uncheck the box (I cant recall exactly where it was now, but I found it at the time), it has not helped.

so now ive just spent 90 minutes working out how to gather all the necessary information and then submit a 'request' on their support site/

this product should come with a warning that it is only for the technically savvy. im so annoyed. I want my money back, but b&gg3r me I cant find a phone number and find anyone to rant at, so im doing it here instead - arrrgggghh!

Contact them. You pay for support. Probably a simple fix. They have a web site. When I've had issues they were happy to help.
It might be that Norton is conflicting with Kaspersky. You can't simply uninstall Norton from your list of installed programs. You MUST use the Norton Removal Tool to get rid of it.

So did you?

(Restart your computer afterwards).
If you still need to contact Kaspersky after following the advice from Buenchico

buenchico - it is apparently McAffee that is causing the problem. The norton was on the old computer, and this is a brand new computer. Theyve sent me a removal tool link for the McAffee, but i havent plucked up the courage to do it yet!
