My husband incontinent at mo. He woke me at 0214 to change his sheets. Put wash on at stupid oclock. Got up at 7 to put on line so could be dry and taken in before I left for work!

visitors take the said sheets off the bed and leave them neatly folded at the end of the bed with the towels they had used ? My mum always told me this was the correct thing to do, some of my guests do, some don't [ peasants] my mum always said also you must never arrive without a gift for the hostess i.e flowers, wine or chocolates and always send a thank you note when you return home.do people still do this type of thing or is it a thing of the past ? I do because that's what I was taught.

Dee, my visitors did all those things. All is now washed and ironed and put away. They brought loads of food too. That was nice.
