My daughter has cut open her forehead at school today, she has had to have it glued together, its is about 1cm long, quite deep and looked bit jagged to me. They have said she will have a small scar, does anybody know any remedies to reduce scarring they have tried? Ive heard Bio oil works, has anyone tried this? worried because it is on her forehead so will be noticeable.

Bio Oil is good - but how old is your daughter? If she's little, a small scar may well be much less noticeable as she grows older. Don't make a big thing of it and she won't be self conscious about it.
I'm pretty sure it will be very minor. I noticed that Miss Universe has a large pock mark on her forehead without makeup. She was on IACGMOOH.
Time. I gained such a scar when 6 years old - hair covered it for some years and it's now disappeared (mind you, I am now 71).

Could plastic surgery help ?

she is 9, I just wondered if there as anything I should be doing to help or just leave it to heal naturally
P.S. If it's jagged, she could claim to have defeated Lord Voldemort.
One of my daughters cut her head right across the eyebrow when she was two, it looked horrendous and I thought it would dominate her face. Six years on it is hardly noticeable even though it leaves a little bald strip through her eyebrow.
I totally agree with Boxtops. I was falling out of trees and all sorts when I was 9. I always had cuts and bruises....the type that the Health & Safety Executive rub their hands in glee over. My mam always to used to compare my injuries out of 10 and we laughed about it. I was never conscience of my injuries and now they have all disappeared without trace!
Get a tub of Vitamin E capsules, cut one open and rub the oily stuff inside on the wound.

I use it for all sorts of cuts. I find it helps them heal quicker and reduces scarring.
My nephew cut his head on a glass stand when he was about 4 and had his glued, he still has a noticeable scar the hospital nurse said by the time he grows into a young man it won't be as prominent. He's 8 now and it's still noticeable but not as much. We use emu oil
My colleagues in the Eye/ENT department swear by this ointment when it comes to reducing scarring:
