mike it isnt only single men, but married guys grasping at rotten daffodils at the back of 4pm, and have their children with them
Bella - you can get almost anything all year round, so whatever you give or are given will not be unique. Some people only give or are given flowers on birthdays or mothers' day so for them it is special.
In that case DT this weekend ive bought her a chinese an indian a bottle of vino a bottle of gin 6 cream eggs and malteasers and a meal out....and enjoyed it all for her!
Tut... some people have actually posted the card, selected the bouquet and ensured delivery to various parts of the country at the beginning of the week. Not everyone brought flowers as part of their weekly shop! And even if they did, at least they did something nice, why make a negative out of it? Strange.

Sorry info, its grasping at straws because they have forgotten
To be fair though...i know a few mothers who would like anything from their child....or to even have their child with them on mothers day xx

China, as we have always said we have own opinions
All I got was cards of two of my offspring, and one of those was bought by his dad. My other daughter was supposed to come round today but texted to say her kids are ill so she was staying at home with them.
If you were my mother, Daisy, 'old dear' would be the last thing I'd call you. In fact, I doubt I'd call you at all...
i doubt they've forgotten, you'd buy flowers as late as possible to ensure they're fresh,
true, it can be a miz time, as dad's day can be too....
Good. Cold callers should be eradicated.
^^like^^
If you think calling your mother 'old dear' is condescending you should hear some of the names I call mine.
@ MarkRae that is.
My older daughter my wife some new curtains duvet cover and a kettle for mothers day when she started work.
I thought it was very nice and I would have certainly accepted it for fathers day.
I thought the best thing to do was give her some money to get some flowers as well.

Martin.

Martin noooooooooooooooooooooox
My son and daughter are both away at university.
Both ordered flowers for me. Neither have arrived. My son paid extra for Sat guaranteed delivery; my daughter for Sun guaranteed delivery.
I would love to have received flowers; much prefer them to another gift. The children don't have lots of money.
Needless to say they will be chased up tomorrow but the whole thing leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
