God no. Who on earth would do something like that? Why do they "have" to have chicken pox? I've managed to get to the ripe old age of 45 without catching it - even though the kids both had it as toddlers. Christ were they miserable too!! I wouldn't deliberately get my child infected with it. eldest has a couple of scars from it where large crusted spots got knocked off, thankfully they are not in particularly prominent places. Idiots!!
sounds like a racket... the chances of catching it from that are slim
Yeah, the article says that there is a very slim chance of catching it that way, however there is a greater chance of catching other things ....like hepatitus!!

whatever the chances are of catching it, i cant imagine why a parent would do it. Its a horrible thought. Again my 2 have both had it and my youngest has scars all over her little body from the pox. I'd never knowingly subject her to it.
I kept my son indoors when he recently had chicken pox so that he didn't pass it on to anyone with a poor immune system or pregnant women.
