Hello

Please can you advise me the Procedure for taking Ashes from South Africa to the UK. My husband died recently and wanted his remains to be taken to his Birth Place.

I think a 'phonecall to the airline of your choice will explain the procedure far better than most people on here are able.

So sorry for your loss.I don't think there will be a problem with taking ashes on an aeroplane, they aren't considered human remains as far as im aware.

I took my husband's ashes on a flight to UK. The casket has to be sealed by the crem. and the casket carried in hand luggage.
