We are constantly told it is only a small minority of Muslims who are extremists.
It would seem by these pictures that they have got their sums wrong.
Ans why do all these demonstrations take effect after Friday's prayers, what do they preach in the Mosques to get them so stirred up?

Because in those mosques where stirring up takes place, that's where people get wound up by the Friday sermon. Many mosques are peaceable places, the security services are well aware of the ones from which problems arise. Everyone goes on the Friday, it's the one day you can guarantee getting a lot of men (and some women) into the mosque at the same time.

I don't know about all of the Mideast, but I understand it works the same pretty much all over. States run the mosques so the mosque says what the state wants them to. If you want to draw attention away from poverty, hunger, disease, terrible living conditions, unemployment- then you distract them with something inflammatory. Here we're famous for putting blame on immigrant labor causing all sorts of havoc. They seem to cause more trouble when elections come around. There they give up the US and Israel as a distraction. Its not hard to find ammo against the US considering we just invaded an allied country with force and killed somebody within their nation. Then lied. Then blamed them... etc etc. Reasonable people are upset. Take away education, add religious observance, media bombardment and propoganda... You can see where I'm going with this.

sandie The Madrassas do not give an education they give a religious indoctrination. The boys, not the girls, get this brain washing where they have to learn the Koran and most of the Haddith by heart . There is no time for any normal education as we would know it .

Birmingham near where I live has a population of about 1 million.
According to the internet about 14% are Muslims (it pains me to say).
According to my reckoning that is about 140,000 Muslims in Birmingham.
If only 1% are extermist that is still 1,400.
I notice one in the picture is carrying a sign saying "Islam will dominate the world".
Didnt Hitler have the same plan in the 1930s.
We had better watch out.

These 'small minorities' turn up in almost every county in England and abroad to incite hatred, Wootton Basset is a small but distasteful case in point. Put them all together I suspect it is quite a crowd. I actually saw a new imam welcomed by a crowd of fellow muslims off the plane to this country, a peasant, he couldn't speak a word of English and quite old. These old men are the teaching instruments for the young English born Muslims who have no idea what is is to live in Pakistan/Afghanistan, They are the ones who instil confusion into these young minds the hatred of our western ways, and teaching their medieval extremeism of their belief, They cannot move forward with people like them in our midst. I am pleased that the world has seen Pakistan for what it is, they are corrupt and deceitful, perhaps now they can see that you cannot serve two masters.
They have promised to provide 100's more in Ladens in the wake of his death. What do we do then, send more troops, more drones or what. Politicians are so short sighted.
We should clear out of Afgfhanistan right now and forget Libya. Anywhere there is trouble in the Middle East let the African union sort it out. These Muslim people are beyond help and spit in your face when trying.

I agree rov, but leaving it to the african unions ain't going to solve it either, they are just as bad. I think we should bring our troops home draw up the gang-plank get rid of the hangers on/mad clerics/illegals etc who are of no benefit to this country, stop immigration, and stop aid to others. That will do for now.until we have succeeded in our aim of clearing the massive debt, having a working NHS with clean hospitals, a decent jobs market. housing and schools. In short Utopia! I will vote for the party who can bring this about.
