Hey everyone, this question has probably been asked before but I've just returned home from seeing the midwife and my baby's heart rate is 140 and sounds like a train. I can't decide if thats boyish or girly...I'm 18 wks and 4 days x x

They do say one sex's heartbeat is faster than the other. Unless you hear them both side to side I don't think you'll be able to tell the difference.

Have you a preference?
Question Author
No I don't really have a preference, I'm just curious. I have a scan booked for the 31st Jan when I'll be 21 weeks, and I have 2 girls and 2 boys already, but it's nearly 9 years since I was last pregnant so I really can't remember when the heartbeats sounded like to compare them.
it's a myth, you can't tell the sex from the heartbeat
Is it bednobs?

It was my doctor that mentioned it to me. That was 13 years ago though....
yes.
Oh well Tigress....looks like that one has been dismissed now. I did always wonder...

Do they still measure your belly?
