looking for an egg doner between 16 & 36

My partner and I are able to conceive naturally,but as the years have gone by ,my partners eggs are of poor quality We have had an unsuccesful attempt at I.V.F. egg sharing wherebye only one of the two eggs we were alotted was fertilised.We have just been informed by the clinic we are 38 th on the waiting list for doner eggs.It could take years to reach the top again. Please help us if you can .Can you or anyone you know be a doner.Perhaps you've experienced the same or similar.Has anyone any ideas please ?

perhaps it might be that you and your partner arent meant to have kids together. You say you can both concieve naturally, so i presume you already have children? if so, please count these as the blessings you already have,
My only other idea is to have this treatment privately, or is it private already?

my sister had her 1st child at age 42. a healthy baby who's now 4. don't give up. keep trying. the child is brighter than a 100 watt bulb, speaks 4 languages fluently, plays piano and recently joined a singing group. don't give up on yourself. try to have your own. doctors only know so much. they are not God. keep trying. good luck.

bednobs.Thanks for reply.My partner has two grown up children whoom we have a good relationship,I however have a son of 13 .His mother and myself parted when he was only months old.She couldn't fend for herself let alone look after a baby.It wasn't that she was simple or anything it was just she'd had everything done for her in the past by her parents.She used to wind me up constantly telling me how all these blokes were after her.Wanted me to live in granny flat attached to parents house when I owned my own home.
She used our son as a tool ,telling me I'd never see him.Once even that he wasn't mine.
I tried on numerous occasions to gain contact to no avail.
Now have a partner who I love ,and we would love a child together.Experienced two miscarrages ,and one termination due to a nucule translucency scan revealing downs syndrome.
The only option now being as you said to go private.Very expensive in excess of �3000.00.When a doner becomes available ,she gets free treatment and shares her eggs.Maximum of two inplanted because of the risk of multiple births

sorry to hear of the problems you are having, it is beyond my imagination the stress that this must cause your wife and yourself.

Unfortunately im in unfamiliar terrotory but just wanted to let you know that thousands of people are going through the same thing and as bednobs has said, feel blessed to have any children at all.

I hope things work out, but in the mean time be supportive to your wife as it sounds like she has been through a rough time.x

Thankyou for your concern Girlygirl 143 .My partner and I were so lucky ,as in late September the egg coordinater at the fertility clinic phoned to ask if we were still interested . Of coarse we were and arranged a meeting. I really don't know how we jumped up the list but happy we did and as result after taking tablets wearing patches and injecting herself with bursarin we are going through embryo transfer next week. I haven't been on answerbank for a while but will keep you informed if your interested ?
