there are so many things that we are told that we cant have during pregnancy like eggs, nuts and certain cheesesand its usually the things we crave the most but to be honest i have had two very healthy bouncing babies and ate most of the above bar the cheeses, i think if your able to satisfy your craving just once it should be fine. they say all sorts like smoking causing premature and underweight babies etc and in some cases this is true but unfortunately i was unable to give up completely while pregnant with both and they were both 8 days late the first weighing in above average at 8lb 2ozs and the second a boy again well above average at 10lb 10ozs. enjoy your yummy dippy egg bcos im sure at some point during your pregnancy you will probably go of them completely!!!! good luck x
I've had the same craving for weeks but i was told not to have one.
This is a sad admission....
I wanted dippy eggs so badly when I was pregnant that I wrote to Lyon eggs LOL! They were very nice and sent me some lovely recipe cards but told me that I shouldn't eat eggs unless the yolk is thoroughly cooked, i.e. hard, even if the eggs are salmonella free (which Lyon eggs are as the chickens are vaccinated against it).

Despite the advice though I gave in and had baldy eggs with toasty soliders, and they were soooooo good. And I didn't die, and my baby was fine!

Obviously I would advise that you follow your midwife's advice, but personally I think a little of what you fancy does you good ;-)
thought this said caravanning lol
Oh i don't know what to do now. I've only got about 7weeks to go so i suppose i've waited this long. I would do anything at the moment for a piece of toast with smooth pate on it. Why is it when your told not to have something its the one thing that you really want?
And pate! Oh my God, I forgot about all this stuff.... LOL

I think I was good with the pate thing but eventually gave in when I was 39weeks - I was massive and miserable and waddling round the house eating pretty much everything insight, and gave in for pate on toast :-D
And brie! I so wanted brie all the way through. I think a brie and cranberry baguette was my first celebratory food once I'd had the baby, but I was breastfeeding so I don't think I should have been eating it anyhow.
I can honestly say that is the one thing that i really miss. I love prawns but never really ate them that often. Same with eggs but pate, Mmmmmm!!
Ooh, I loooooove dippy eggs.

Hope I'm not pregnant ...

wonders in what parallel universe jayne might be pregnant, given her current celibate existence ... ?
7weeks to go? Wow, that's come around so fast! How is everything going? Is the hot weather making it horrible?
Weather is making it worse. Its to muggy to walk about in and i sit with the fan on when i'm in the house. I've really got 10 weeks to go but they are taking me early due to the liver problem. My levels had sorted themselves out but went last thursday and they have started to go up again. A normal level is below 50 and mine peaked at 1275 so not very good. I don't think i have ever felt so tired. Don't think i've spoken to m hubbie in days. Not that we have fallen out (for a change) i just don't have the energy to even talk and when he does ask how i am all i can say is 'I'm tired'. Never thought it would be like this.
Awww hun, it'll get better! 30weeks is good going though, bubs must be doing really well. I can't imagine what it must be like for you because a) I didn't have a liver problem and b) I didn't have the hot weather, but that tiredness does lift. I was so knackered I was frightened I wouldn't have the energy to give birth but it's pretty incredible that you do manage. I was so miserable in the last few weeks, I barely saw or spoke to my hubby either; I'd be in bed from 7/8pm and then he was at work all day, you do look back and wonder how you got through it all, but you do get through it.

Did you manage to find out if it's a boy or girl? If so have you thought about names yet?
Hi popsickle , first of all , congrats honey.
I had a craving for lemon curd , couldn't get enough of the stuff . I was glad I knew about jaundice when my son had a tinge of yellow at 3 days old ....lol
Think i'm getting a section. I am so scared about it but needs must. As for finding out it has taken us weeks but we found out finally last week and its a girl. Think we have settled on Erin for her name.
Erin is a lovely name... thanks for sharing that !
Awww, that's a lovely name. You sound like you're doing the best thing and taking the advice of the professionals. I didn't really want to have a c-section, but was wheeled down to theatre to have on as labour was so long and baby got stuck, but then she popped out at the very last minute - after I had been pushing for 10hours to no avail, so you never know what will happen! I can't wait to hear back from you to know everything has been fine and how much she weighs, it's so exciting!

Are you on facebook?
No i'm not on facebook but my young nephew called me face ache yesterday. Apparently HE will be glad when this is all over with cause i'm miserable and HE fed up with it.
Kids eh?
Charming! Well, if HE is fed up then you'd better get a move on love.... Honestly, I'd like to see him dealing with pregnancy any better!

Righty, I am going to get an early night and hope that madam doesn't wake before morning! Keep usposted with any updates, good luck - I'll be keeping an eye out for your news on here! xx
.....Oh and sorry to Popsickle for hijacking the thread!.... Hope my first answer helped a little!
Best of it is he is only 8. Anyway hope you have a good sleep x
