old boss of mine was caught by his wife with all the jib and tackle hanging out in their wash basin, middle of the night, nothing being produced but the cold water tap running.....yes, he was plastered.

It's classic 'conditioning'. People in the developed world often experience this, taken from the sound of *** splashing into the bog, our brains take the sound as a cue. Apparently forest dwelling aboriginal types don't experience this.
