Who decided it should be women who have to remove their body hair and not men? Isn't it enough that we have to go through childbirth and periods without the extra hassel and pain?

Obviously not , life is just fair is it ?
Sadly though I think it was probably a woman.
Personally I keep hairy legs in the winter - extra warmth plus noone sees them!

It is unfair, but men suffer too. Men with hairy backs have to get them waxed or risk looking like a wookie. As a former wookie, I can tell you that laser treatment on the back is no joke - it HURTS. And if you've got a hairy back, there's no escaping it: that hair has to go. But the pain was worth it; I am now permanently hair-free. Some men even go to the extreme of getting their chests waxed, though I personally draw the line there. It seems that one must suffer to be beautiful.

i think u should go n live in germany where the women dont shave!!!!!!!!    i personally love nothing more then the feel of my clean shaven silky smooth legs after gettin out the bath
Nobody HAS to remove body hair. There must be some blokes out there who like hairy birds! haha

I doubt that very much, Stevie :P
Yeah, indian - I couldn't agree more, what women go through is bad :(  It seems acceptable for a man to be hairy and infact I find it attractive on a man (Simon Cowell's arms) but people would find it unacceptable on a woman and stare.  I'll tell you what, if I ever have children, I'll make my man have the snip (Ah, sweet revenge)  lol

One positive I suppose - we don't have to remove body hair every day. Men have to shave every day and most find it a chore!
Oh - unless they just grow beards of course!
To be honest i would rather go without the wispy long hair that men get under their pits and the lovley leg hair to, just a shame it comes back stubbly really though hair removal cream helps to stop this but its such a chore hanging around for it to work.
I don't mind the natural look on women. Aren't these types of social regulation wierd?  I mean it's obvioulsy all in our minds.  We perceive that women with hairy legs are not attractive.  This perception has obviously been learned over many generations.  If everyone just rebels against these social regulations, maybe we could change these perceptions.  I mean come on- it's only hair!
I shave my armpits, because otherwise I get sweaty (nice!) but other than that the rest stays where it is, I shave my legs about 3 times a year, thats because I chose not to, I don't wear short skirts with bare legs and its very uncomfortable when I do shave them (they go numb for about 4 days afterwards), besides I have better things to spend my money on, rather than razors. Nobody ever complains that I have hairy legs, so why should I bother?
I don't see why it should be seen as unhygenic or whatever to not get rid of body hair, it should be up to the individual. Men complain that they have to shave everyday but it hardly compares to what women are expected to do everyday.....
