sleeping habit

my 13 year old son has had difficulty going to sleep since he was 6 or seven. if hes in bed by 8.30 he can be awake at 10.00 or later and has to be up at 7.00 in the morning.is this a problem or a habit that will change , he has dark lines under his eyes and has puffiness around above his cheek bones.health is generally ok but has never been very alert or energetic. is it a cycle of lethargy ?

i think talking to the doctor is your best bet hope this helps xx

If hes feeling tired but unable to sleep it could be he needs more exercise to tire him out

8:30 seems a little early for a 13 year old  try getting him to bed at 10pm and see how that goes
