Hello all, I stopped breast feeding my son at the beginning of August, but i still appear to be producing milk?
It is not like the milk I produced after he was born, but similar to the stuff pre birth?
Is this normal to still be producing this so long after stopping breatfeeding, i have looked on several Mothering/baby websites and they say that it normally stops after 1-2 months?

I have no idea where I read this so cannot be sure its correct but I did read somewhere that some women carry on producing colostrum for ages after breast feeding. Ask your health visitor??
I could get milk a few years after I stopped. So completely normal as far as I'm concerned.
hi

does it still leak out?

it took me a good while for it to stop. the only reason i stopped was the pain from after the birth and didn't think she was getting enough and once that eased after a couple of months i thought about starting doing one feed a day.

but thought theres no point starting up after going through all the leaking then having to go through that agian and she was satisfied with what she was getting.

i had my little one in june and leaked for a couple of months then could still squeeze my nipples and i could've started feeding again. but now theres nothing
