How much homework do your year 2 children have?

I'm really fed up with my daughter having too much. When I was at infant school I'm sure I used to spend my day playing in the Wendy House.

Thanks for replying.

My Daughter get about the same and she's been given a big project to do over the half term. I would just like her to be able to play and rest over the break.

I don't ever remember getting all this homework. Grrrrrr!

My daughter has the same amount, but with all the clubs she does in the week it became hardwork, she got so upset about doing it and handing it in on time, that i wrote to the teacher and they agreed that it was to be done on the weekend. im a teaching assistant myself so 'homework' isnt in my volcbulary let alone my home life!!
My Y3 daughter has had the same homework routine through Y2 and Y3-boring maths worksheets and 10 spellings each week. We've given up reading the 'reader' they send home with her because it' so dull and when the teacher asks we tell her about the interesting books she chooses at the library. It's so regimented. I'd love to do some art or geography or some kind of research with her instead. Can't see it getting any better though.
