Disturbing grand parent

I saw something the other day that really disturbed me. Basically my sons grand parent an old guy touched my sons penis and waggled it from side to side saying "what is this? What is this". My son is 3. Quite a lot Of my wife's family members were there and no one batted an eyelid. Thankfully my son won't be seeing this guy for a long time. I was really gob smacked when I saw this and I now hate the guy. Maybe it's because they are a different culture???
People are not supposed to touch children's genitals simple apart from washing obviously. Am I over reacting?

why didn't you tel him not to do it again then? if you were genuinely disturbed by it, what stopped you saying anything? I'm not trying to be argumentative, and I'm actually trying to imagine how I'd feel or react in the same situation. My gut reaction tells me that I'd go over, pull my son away and say something along the lines of,"hey, don't touch him there please"..... but I certainly wouldn't be thinking that there was anything untoward, maybe just, like others have said, peple have different attitudes to such things - he seems to have just been teasing your son for walking out of the toilet with his pants down.....

To be honest, at 3, your son could have felt quite upset by what happened. You are his parent, you need to protect him.

Nah, not disturbing and yes, I suspect you are over-reacting.
We live in a modern world and it's full of of paedo-hysteria, everyone is on high alert and terrible misunderstandings can happen as a result.
If this family member had any issues, do you *really* think he would be plying his perverted trade in front of a gathered mass of family members, including YOU, the boy's father ?!
For the sake of your future relationship with the old guy, why not just tell him on the QT that you're not comfortable with him behaving like this.
