if you didn't go with her to register the birth, and you aren't married, it's impossible for her to put your name on the birth certificate anyway. you need to go through the courts to get access
Are you sure it's yours?
ps when i say impossible, i mean the registrar wont allow her to do it. What kind of ex is she? If an ex wife, you are in a much better position

she didnt want my name on the certificate and refused to give her reasons so i didnt get an option to go to register
You need to supply more details.
well like i said, if you weren't there, she is only complying with the law by not putting you on there
Best go see a solicitor.

just ex girlfriend and not 100 percent but the dates add up she was being ok i went to the scans bought whatever she wanted for the baby hes only 1 week old
You need to see a solicitor in order to seek a court order for a 'Declaration of Parentage'. (Alternatively, speak to the Chief Clerk at your local Magistrates Court, who will provide you with basic information).

Once a Declaration of Parentage is issued a copy is automatically sent to the General Register Office, resulting in a re-registration of the child's birth.

well then i doubt very much indeed that she's registered the birth yet - at our register office you usually have too wait at least 4 weeks for an appointment to register birth. You stil have time to ask her when she's going and go along too
Has she even registered the birth yet?

I wouldn't accuse someone of being difficult a week after giving birth. She more than likely shattered and still in pain.
Next time, wear a condom
Very helpful jd!!!
