People who earn the sort of money this lady is talking about make me cross. I have never believed anyone should expect the government to pay anything towards the upkeep of their children least of all people in highly paid jobs.
I had one child, at a time when Family Allowance as it was then called, was not paid for a first child but from the second child upwards.

It will never happen, but it should be stopped altogether. If people have children let them be wholly responsible for their care.
