Paying into a spanish bank account

We have rented a private villa in Spain. When I sent the deposit last September I tranferred it into the owners Spanish bank account via my own bank account with the Halifax The Halifax charged me �19.50 for sending 190 euros. I will shortly have to send another 900 euros and was wondering if there was a cheaper way. persianlady (Sun 19:16 28/Jun/09)

Sorry to tell you there isnt.
I put money into my spanish bank account by putting it into the account everytime I am over there. I looked into this a couple of years ago the only other way is to transfer money to a private individual you know who will put the money in that bank for you. But who would you trust to do this ?
