If you register the company at Companies House (it's probably easier to buy an off the shelf company from a company formation agent) you will be given a date by which you must file an annual return. You will also have to file accounts but there is some flexibility as to when your accounting reference date (year end) is. You will also need to notify HMRC who will also need information from you in due course. Filing the Annual Return over the internet is easy and the fees for filing documents are not very expensive. Good luck with your project.
