Has anyone had dealings with this company. They are in the business of renting out cars when your car is having repairs done, so they are getting paid through insurance. At end of last year had car hire through them. Now three months later got a letter saying the car was damaged by me and the repair invoice just says 857 but with no details - "as per estimate". There is an invoice to me to pay the 150 excess! There was no damage whatsoever to this car when collected by their driver. The "invoice" which I am very suspicious of is 22 January. Why would they wait till now if genuine. If there was anything wrong why did they not contact me immediately. Why does the invoice not say what was supposed to be wrong with the car and why have they not said. All very dodgy to me. Comments welcome.....

I've just googled them when you get to the second or third page it seems they are having serious money issues. My daughter had a car in similar circumstances from a different company who I found out before she got it were quite well known for invoicing for valeting and none existent damage etc. I told her to check it very carefully before and after with the delivery driver present and to have it in writing no damage present.

Thank you jg96 for your interest. Unfortunately the way it worked out we were not there in person when the car is collected. My letter to this company will leave them in no doubt as to my opinion of them or their letter!
They are well known within the insurance industry - despite all efforts across the board, they remain a bunch of cowboys.

Usual bunch of ambulance chasers, whose only function is to increase your insurance premium.

Just to let anyone who is interested know. Accident Exchange received my letter of complaint and apologised and withdrawn the demand for 125 pounds. Kind of raises more questions as to what was that all about, but dont know if I can be bothered to continue the correspondence!
