where would i stand regarding cliaming any money that is owed to me if i signed over the house to my ex wife.

Exactly what money do you think is owed to you? If you give the house to your ex-wife (which is what signing it over means, basically) then no money is involved
If you sell your share to her, then any monetary payment is subject to agreement between you. You can agree anything you like - if you can't come to an agreement the courts may do it for you.
