I live in Spain, and one of our local newspapers reckons Madiline was spotted in Torrivieca last week, anything like that been said in the UK....???

I'm sorry but if I 'thought' I saw a girl that was little Maddie.. would you really leave to go home and check the internet.. or would you try calling her name to see if she reacted... or try to talk to her....

I know everyone reacts differently - but all these supposed sightings are such a waste of time and energy if no-one tries to talk to the girl....

If you just call her name out - and she reacts. .then you could try to grab her!

My heart aches whenever I think of the poor family... Sadly I dont believe that she can be alive anymore.... I just hope that they do get the truth in the end...

The above article is new news to us here in UK but is based in Majorca.. not mainland spain... so not near Cartegena.. or Torrevieja...

N...o worries Nosha, lol no Ethel its a tiny little village, no-one has ever heard of it, and given that there are no signs for it, people drive past, getting anything delivered is a nightmare........

Ethel, there is a Torrivieca in Spain.

If you Google "Torrivieca"
it will come up with Torrevieja which is on the Costa Blanca and is a tourist resort...
It is pronounced Torriviecka... but not spelt that way - hence my confusion earlier....

Some spanish towns have two spellings for Catalan spanish and dialect spanish.. Javea is also spelt Xabia...

ANyhow - this has nothing to do with Maddie.. so I'm done explaining! ;-)

I've been having the same problem...

As for going there.. I only went once.. and it was during the Gota Fria - which are the heavy rains SPain has about this time now... the appt we were in flooded everywhere... and all the coaches on the way to the aiport the next day drove thru giant puddles and the luggage in their 'hold' soaked up all the water... People had suitcases full of wet (and HEAVY!!) clothes! Never went back after that funnily enough!
