Can I sell a debt on?

I am owed a sum of money from a company, after having the debt put into hands of a debt collecting agency,and paying over £400 for them to try and retrieve the money, I have now been informed that the company collecting the debt has gone into liquidation. Is there any way i can sell the debt on to a collector? as I do not want to lose more money chasing the debt. Thankyou.

You can, if the debt is large enough. Expect around 60% of the debt.
