I agree twenty20. I've asked several times why posters want a bank address for a sort code but I don't think I've ever had an answer. If you have a query about a payment you might as well ring a call centre in New Delhi than go into the branch
If I found your details and had your account number already, it would be possible to perform a fraud with your details, bank account number, sort code and now address.
Uzoma- you can see someone's sort code and account number on a cheque- that's always been the case. But what has your observation got to do with the question posed by hroberts ?
I wonder whether hroberts has found this info helpful. It would be good if he/she could update us- it's good to know that one's responses have been helpful and are appreciated.
Any news for us hroberts? We took the trouble to help and I wondered whether our efforts had been worthwhile. I've answered several questions about sort codes and noone has ever come back and said what us ethe information proved to be.
