Credit Rating...

I'm sure you've all read this question 1,000 times before but I couldn't find an old link with my search as there are many questions on credit ratings. But does anyone know of a reliable, safe, and above all, free, way to check my credit rating?

Kind regards,

Josh

They are only a few quid from experian and equifax. I think if you want the free one you have to sign up for some sort of trial, but presumably have to cancel before they start charging you.

HI Josh, I have been a mortgage broker for many many years and have found between experian and equifax that the equifax papers are easier to understand.

www.equifax.co.uk you can pay on line and receive the details by email in minutes

good luck

There are 3 major credit reference agencies in the UK namely Experian, Equifax and Callcredit; each will have assigned you a credit score which may not tally with the other. There is little point in requesting a report from one agency without also requesting reports from the other two since any future credit check by a potential lender could be made to the agencies you have not checked for errors.

Here are clickable links to the agencies not already supplied in this thread...

Lol! Thanks for that info lollyangeley! A distant relative of mine's one of the founder members of experian - and it's nice to get a bit of criticism or comparison, to keep up to date with customer needs. x
