Yes according to a sometimes reliable source

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltimore_Technol ogies

Not quite sure how a Wikipedia page that offers no company information beyond May 2006 and includes a broken link to the company's official website along with the phrase "Link broken as of March 8, 2007. Did this company die?" is indicative of the company still trading in August 2007.

It appears that the Baltimore pages at the Acquisitor Holdings domain have not been updated since August 2006, around the time that Baltimore was delisted from AIM.

mmmm yes. I didn't read it that carefully and I did qualify 'reliable'.......

A bit more research shows that they were (in 2006) about to be taken over by Oryx.

Thanks boys, but still in a quandry. Oryx took over Baltimore Capital which is quite a different company. Baltimore Technologies is an IT company.
Baltimore Technologies shed its core IT business in 2003 leaving a cash shell - a company that does not quite meet the definition of a shell company (i.e. a company that exists but does not actually do any business or have any assets), but whose main value nonetheless lies in its listing on the Stock Exchange rather than its assets or its business.

The Baltimore cash shell was taken over in 2004 by Acquisitor Holdings, a Bermuda-based investment vehicle, free to use the name for any type of business it wished to undertake.

Baltimore Technologies PLC changed its name to Baltimore PLC on 15/04/2005 and again on 25/07/2006 to Baltimore Capital PLC.

Thanks for your time kempie. The bottom line here seems to be that the shares are basically valueless.
