Can anyone recommend me a camera with Macromode please?

To Buenchico: are the Dimage series still recommended for closeups?

Anyone who wants to do lots of close-up photography would be well-advised to save up for a decent SLR, together with a dedicated lens. However, for the best images, the lens alone could cost over 1000.

Any camera which aims to allow you to take photographs, with the same lens, from telephoto to close-up is bound to make some compromises. However, I'm still happy to recommend the Dimage Z series:

LOL sorry to be such a pain in the arse Chris :-)
You have been extremely helpful to me. It may seem that Im coming to you for spoonfeeding, the truth is that I know very little about cameras and Im only just now looking into them and coming across new things, hence why I am asking so many questions.
I think I will get the Dimage Z3 which I have seen for around 125 pounds!
Thanks once again for all your help.

I personally can also strongly recommend the Casio range of cameras, specifically the Z750 and Z850. They're great cameras overall, and have a very good macro mode (about the best I've seen on a non-SLR).
