Employee SSP Rules

If one of my employees returns from sickness on the 8th day are the still covered on their self certification or am I within my rights to request a doctors note?

THECORBYLOON		(Thu 22:51 21/Sep/06) If the employee has been sick for seven days only you can not insist on a Doctor's Certificate (unless it links wi a previous spell)
Memore		(Sat 15:21 30/Sep/06) I dont think that is correct if they have been off for seven days including a weekend then you are within your rights to ask for a doctors certificate
