if you cant afford the repayments on various things now, it's unlikely that just having the debt in one place is going to change that much, unless you take on a longer repayment term (which, of course, you may be willing to do) In fact check the debts you have now because most loans make you pay for all the interest first, before repaying the actual outstanding amount ... therefore if you have been paying them for some time, it might not make sense to get another loan and pay the interest on that.
There is a free debt advisory service so check out your local phone book or ask the Citizen's advice bureau for their no.
Be very wary of the ads on tv, I have heard only "horror" stories about some of them.
If they've got a promotion budget to advertise on TV, the money to do that is coming from one place - profits from their clients.
The problem with these loans that 'pay off all your debts' is that they continue long after the original loans would have been repaid had you kept them on. Thus you actually pay out a lot more.

Think very carefully before taking this on. It's rarely the right answer. A 'good honest company' probably wouldn't give you one, so no recommendations there. Just avoid the one Carol Vorderman advertises.
In fact, avoid all the ones that advertise. Talk to National Debtline, CCCS, Payplan or your local CAB. None of these charge you for whatever advice they give, or to set up arrangements on your behalf.
I would stress that you never but never, solve your problems with another loan, only fewer loans.
The fees that these sharks charge would pay my yearly salary in a month.
Use the free advice at CAB etc. often they will be in touch with experts who are genuine people not 'pond life'.
