which bank will offer me a business bank account with a cheque book and overdraft facility. i do not have a very good credit rating and the business is cash generating so online banking is not suitable.

If you have a 'not very good credit rating' then probably no Bank will offer you an account, never mind one with an overdraft facility.
Try the Abbey Bank, don't know about the overdraft though.

Your credit rating will not be used when opening a business bank account. You will need to complete forms for projected profit and prove you are trading. With most business bank accounts you pay them to give you an overdraft which can cost �100 per year.
