We should be used to this by now -
the polarisation that occurs when any debate hobbyhorse canters into the AB for a quick trot around and out again.
The poles are very simple and direct - on one hand you will have people who are deeply offended and think this is not a subject for levity, on the other you will have people who think it is most humorous, and people who take it seriously need to get a sense of humour and / or a life.
As far as this incident goes - the counsellor should have had more sense than to offer his sense of humour in a potentially sensitive manner, that shows lack of judgement.
As to whether the picture and caption are funny or not - that is a matter for individual opinion - and neither polarised view is likely to influence the other.

Yes exactly og: it's funny of course, but it seems unbelievable that a councillor (its always a Tory isn't it, dear me!) would post it on facebook.
I suppose it doesn't really work unless you post it somewhere.
