Try www.johncharcol.co.uk, they are a mortgage broker and have lots of info on mortgages etc. Their mortgage calculator gives a maximum amount of 175,800 for your salaries, but this will vary by lender.

It also depends on if you have any financial commitments already (hire purchase, loans, credit cards etc.) and the % deposit you put down against the value of the property.  Abbey can give up to 4.5 times your income but bear in mind that you want a mortgage that you definitely afford.
Mortgages vary from lender to lender. A good estimate is usually x3 the main breadwinner's salary and x2 the secondary breadwinner. Of course, as mentioned above it also depends on other loans/financial commitments.
