Haven't checked my numbers this month. I'll do that now though. You've just reminded me. I won something every month last year from £25 to £350. I've won £10,000 twice in the past 5 years. I think I've had quite a good return on my investments. I wouldn't have got all that in interest if I'd put it in the bank. What about you ric ror?Any luck this month?
I've just checked my numbers and I've won £50 this month (2 x £25)
Wow, I didn't realise anyone won anything!

I never have but then I only have a few old £1 bonds. Sounds like I should buy a few more.

Sorry - congrats to you
3x25 this month. Won every month but one last year....just £25-£75 but better than the bank.
the letter plus cheque usually arrives mid month, I rely on them I cant even rememeber where mine are stashed let alone the numbers, won £25 x 3 last year quite happy with that. Hoping to win the Halifax monthly big won but no such luck for a jonah like me ! does any A/B'er actually know of a winner for this one ?
We have had about £150 in Premium bonds since 1973 (worth much more in those days!) and only won about 3 times since - 1x£50 and 2x£25 I had no idea people won like that every month. You must have big investments in? Maybe as the ISA rates are so low it may be worth putting a couple of thousand in ............. I never check the numbers so hope they automatically send you any winnings - we have never moved house?
I have one £1 bond my mother bought for me in 1957. It has won nothing in 55 years.
BTW. Only the interest, at 1.5%, is paid out as prizes but I guess, "you've got to be in it to win it."
I always check my bonds on the NS&I site.....Last year £50 was "lost in the post".....I wouldn't have known I had won if I didn't check.
I won £100 in the Halifax draw last July. It was a nice surprise.

Don't know anything about this Halifax thing but would welcome some info
For those curious Martin Lewis has a very good calculator for PB chances on his website

They should write to you, triggs, depending of course that you still live at the address where you lived when they were bought.

I only had a few, since they started in 1959-ish - never won anything so I cashed mine in a few years back.
Can't just think of full details for Halifax. Think you have to have £5,000 in a qualifying saving account and register for the monthly prize draw. Once registered they inform you if you have won anything. Can't remember how many prizes there are, £100 is the lowest to which there are quite a number of winners. Worth registering if you qualify.
you've got to have the maximum amount in (30k I think) to win every month.

they should just post the cheque off to you but you can check on the NS&I site by entering the certificate numbers.

I had some about 7 years ago when I was in-between mortgages and bunged 30k equity into them. Got about 4% return over a year which was OK.
Wife and I bought a grands worth each about 5 years ago,won £175 between us in first 18 months, not a cent since but keep hoping.

54 years ago we bought our son

When my son was a baby he collected £3 from sixpences placed in his hand for good luck (does this still happen today?) which we bought him premium bonds with,he is now 54 still has them and they have never won a penny, not much luck there then!

Sorry for the hiccup above.
Trish and I have around £1000 worth dating back to when they started and we've never had a drag.
Yes Dennis it still happens though now it tends to be £1-2 coins.
