I am based in the UK and downloaded a Kindle app for my Ipod touch. Unforunately I somehow seem to be registered to the US site so that when I download a book it is paid for in dollars. This is a problem because my bank (fascists) add £1.50 service charge.

The crux is I think that my main amazon account is registered with Amazon.com as opposed to UK. Anyone know what I have to do to start paying in pounds to avoid the service charge?

If you go into your Amazon account on www.amazon.co.uk
You can go to "Manage My Kindle" in the settings area.
About 2/3 of the way down you can change Your Country.
