As crazy as this sounds, has england just had a new shipment of 20ps or something? it's just that for the last few days every single one I've seen is very shiny and they all say 2006 on them. Is there an actual reason for this?

I'd imagine the Royal Mint produce them every year, store them up and then when supplies start to dip, release a huge amount at once, so you'll suddenly get loads at once in your change as they're getting delivered to all the stores
