im in the process of reclaiming my bank charges....do i send the letter asking for my money back to my new local branch (the bank i have subsequently moved near to) or my original branch (which is the branch where my account is held)? many thanks

It doesn't really make any difference because they'll pass it onto their customer service department in Leeds. But I'd send it to the account holding branch.
Send it to the branch you are will now, this is what we did and it was all resolved by the manager of this branch, in person
Having recently had my bank charges refunded and aggravated damages I would write to the customer services as NJOK says - it will end up there anyway and they will probably reply saying the need six weeks to reply - this is the time allowed by the banking ombudsman.

I would strongly advise that you open an account elsewhere. Banks can get very vindictive - I had all my accounts frozen while they investigated my case even though the accounts were in credit and this was over �150 charges.

I now bank with someone else!
