Have you had a gas or electric bill since the new increases?
Usually I pay about £50 a month for both and yet I have been sent a bill for £110.
I will have to phone E-on although I don't know if they will be working today, but wanted to check if others have had such a big increase.
I chose to pay more than my amount and always had a rebate , since mine hit the skids and E-on Next have taken it on, i will still pay said amount but chances of getting a rebate now will be ziltch, I have something like £280 lying , that’ll soon be gobbled up with these massive price hikes
E-on have changed their name to E-on Next, and they seem to think I pay by direct debit, but I don't.
I've always paid monthly when I receive the bill, but I'm not going to pay this much as it's more than doubled.
So your not on DD, they just charge for actual usage Barsel.? £50 a month might sound right for last summer but £120 dont sound excessive to me for winter useage
You need to check which of there tariffs your on. If a old fixed deal came to an end and your on a new fixed or on there variable rate now a big increase of over 50% cold be right plus higher useage in recent months
Yes, E.ON Next is separate from E.ON, and is where those like me who were Npower customers were switched to when Npower went bust. I was forced to change from quarterly DD (which suited me well as I always gave them my readings every quarter) to monthly DD.
I have been with E-0n for years and they wrote and said it's now called E-on Next and it's rubbish.
The email says 'check your previous bills here, but when I click on the link, it doesn't show previous bills at all, it's treating me like I'm a new customer.
I'm on Fix 2 Year v14 which I changed to in September when my other tariff came to an end.
so the bill will reflect your new tarriff.... check the unit rates and as its a long fix it will take account of the massive energy price rise and allow for some more increases. The unit rates might well be double the old rates... and of course it has been cold in the last 6 week's-- didnt we have ice and snow in November

Sounds to me goodgoallie that its a new tarriff starting a few months ago 2021 and this is the first quarterly bill and new DD amount has been set up
Why does it say this on the email when I don't pay by DD?
