Do as I say - not as I do.

The great Socialist Mantra.
There are many examples of "Socialists" wanting to see other people's money evenly distributed among the needy whilst sitting on considerable wealth themselves (which they could easily redistribute volutarily if their principles are so strong), 3Ts. Principle among thESE (and something I can never get my head around) are Thespians and assorted Luvvies who seem to be, almost exclusively with very few exceptions, staunch Socialists. Quite why anybody who, through their own endeavours, has managed to amass a few bob would continually support politicians intent on nicking it from them and giving it to the Great Unwashed is quite beyond my understanding.
I hope you have noted that this is being reported by the "communist" BBC :-)
The wealth is mainly the property they have in London.

Rather absurd to believe that Socialists are not supposed to own property.
Well 2/3 's is property to be precise. And yes it is absurd that Socialists own property, surely that is the capitalist's territory?

And when has anyone called the BBC communists? Left wingers yes, but not commies.

Nice try at putting words in peoples mouths though.
"Property is Theft" according to Pierre Proudhon. Your typical anarchistic French socialist.
The Lefties don't change their mantra.
Question Author
From their own lips Gromit:
"What we want is to see established a society of common ownership and democratic control in which money, banks, finance etc will be redundant and so disappear, being replaced by 'from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs'. What socialism in its proper sense has always involved." - yes so show us the way......

you have to love the simplistic naive thinking that these sorts always seem to have...bless 'em

These are rather cheap shots at the Socialist Party. They need premises as does any non profit organisation or charity. Are you saying that their activities should be curbed because you don't agree with them? They purchased their property 60 years ago, it is not their fault its value has rocketed. It's just a book figure, neither the organisation nor its members benefit from it. Would you condemn Battersea Dogs and Cats Home for occupying a London property worth much, much more?
One has to live in the world of the present until you can change it. Setting an example is all very well but if it doesn't fit the environment you're in... you won't survive.
"Would you condemn Battersea Dogs and Cats Home for occupying a London property worth much, much more? "

cant remember seeing where they tell me and others how our lives should be lived...and spout endless ideological garbage
