Short coded foods Or short dated foods

Does anyone know where i can bulk buy short coded foods from,there are a few stores near to me that sell that kind of stuff,i just want to know where they are likely to buy it from.Would it be a manufacturer like heinz, or would it be a distributer like cash and carry.
I am only really interested in buying branded dry foods.
Any help and advice would be much appriciated
