Oh how I hate the little blighters . I had one after me today , and yes it was determined to settle on me ! I just can't run or move quick enough , I was nearly in tears with panic . A man kindly saw me panicking and saw it off . Oh how I hate wasps !!!!! I couldn't get home and into the safety of my house quick enough . .
Oh yes yogasun , and it's the food that attracts them but you they want to get to ! :-)
I wonder that too puddicat , surely not just for the purpose of providing me with a phobia :-/
Hee lovablemrkno , at a great distance maybe they look cute , but I can't see it myself ;-)
xxxxxx
Omg , they're huge aren't they ! I remember when my son was little and we were in our grden in Canberra , I suddenly saw the biggest hornet busy flying around . I grabbed my son and hot-footed indoors. .....cringe....
a wasp got in thru my car window whilst i was driving,he landed on my collar so i tried 2 shake him off but he fell down my top in2 my bra a proceded 2 sting my boob 4 5 mins until i could pull over safely.not impressed
I hate the critters too bigmamma, hate it when they get in the house. :(
I remember when i was young my friends mum used to have an empty jam jar that hadn't been washed out, she would fill it with some water and leave it in the kitchen, it attracted any wasps that came into the house, they would fall into it and drown.
Oh you poor thing messyjessy ! I would have crashed for sure . It scares me to think of what I would have done as I've said before , I would jump out of a moving vehicle to get out of the way of one.

I panic too, and the other week I was wearing a bright lemon top at work and kept jumping and screaming every time one came in the window and the guys were getting a bit fed up chasing them out again for wee me lol
poor you mamma, I had that happen to me when I was younger, I was eating a polo mint and he went mad chasing me, I had to run fast away for a while to finally get rid of him!
well i was panicing,i was i 2nd gear until i stopped cuz my hands were buzy trying 2 steer and the other trying 2 get the wasp off me! i just couldnt pull over, road 2 busy!
well amazingly it was wedged between my bra and boob so it was stuck until i could pick him out,it was a very scary experience,i was shaking for a while :o(
Oh poor you BM! I'm the same as you and have a bad phobia of wasps but I am allergic to both wasp and bee stings so freak out totally when one is near. I can sense the little blighters!
I got stung on the ear a few bonfire nights back (yes there was a wasp about in November!!) and at the time had my ear pierced all the way up so had to desperately run home to look in a mirror to pull my earrings out and only just managed it as my ear was swelling up around them. Spent the rest of the evening in A&E as the side of my face and neck swelled up too :o(
I have to be able to get away from them if they come near or I literally freak out and start crying hysterically. As you can tell I am a joy to be around in the summer lol
