Good afternoon everyone!

Last thread can be found here: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Weight-Loss-and-Dieting/Question1468558.html

I'm late again, but not as late as last time!

My weight-loss continues... slowly. Dropped below 90KG for the first time since before Christmas, which is obviously a knife-edge feeling as - while I am happy to be there, I will be slightly put off when I swing back up because of general fluctuations.

Still, these milestones feel good, right?

Last week there was some discussion as to how you can get important people in your life to get on board with your weight-loss (and stop feeding you so much!)

It seems difficult to get others on side, especially if they think "you're fine the way you are". I've always thought things like this could be explained (i.e. it not about what they think, it's what you feel), but not everyone agrees.

I am a bit worried about dipping below the 90, as the temptation for cake increases dramatically - after all, my clothes fit* again!

How do we avoid distraction on the way down? Thoughts very welcome.

Anyway, your turn to share!

All the best,

Ed

Batteries do sound like a possibility to your fluctuations OG. Let us know.
I thought that the display would indicate low battery. My kitchen ones do, but I have such a problem balancing on them.
Just having a picture of you trying to balance on the kitchen scales . Do you use rechargeable batteries .They would be best for a good reading .
Well; it's my own fault. I should take them off the worktop first.

I'm unsure if they are normal or rechargeable one in there at present. Since they were new probably normal ones. I have a small basket full of rechargeable cells, but I'm going off them. They always seem to be run down when I go to use them and I'm unconvinced they last as long.
Good morning all,

I'm down 1 pound. It sounds more than saying 1/2 kilo, but it still is very satisfying either way. I really have to watch the size of my portions. I must go back to my little plate. It really worked.

Hope the rest of you have happy news.
well done xstitcher and yes I do agree the smaller plates do help . I have still stayed the same but ok with that as Ihave lost the xmas gain just need a stone off before summer .
Up 1.4 lbs. Don't even know for sure why.

It shot up Thursday/Friday. Dropped most of that increase by Saturday, back up again about half as much over the 3 day weekend, and dropped very little over the last 24 hours. I'm going to have to analyse what I've had and what I can change. (In fairness I was only under goal on the Thursday, but as mentioned, my weight had gone UP by the Friday morning.)
Is it just me or do you find it easier to say no to yourself when you have started going down.
Yes xstitcher I agree with you. .i keeping thinking of the 2 stone I lost when we stated this and no way do I want to put that back on . I have had the little blips but try and rectify it .
More a case of finding it less easy to keep saying, "No", when I don't see results as a consequence.
Good evening all. We have builders in the house from early morning on so I'm going to skip this week's weigh in. By next Wed the work should be done and if I can find the scales under all the dust then we're back on track.
Good luck with all that skipping.

Meanwhile, here, I'm down 1.6 lbs, mainly due to an inexplicable drop over the high input weekend !? I suppose it wasn't as high as usual,: but a drop ?!
Well, done og . I have still stayed the same but ok with that till I get back on a few salads when weather warms up .
That's good OG. ours is not to reason why ......etc. Just be glad you're going down. Maybe with all my skipping I'll loose weight :-))

You are in your pattern Wendilla...loose, stay the same, loose, stay the same.

I get just as hungry in the summer as in the winter. Maybe it's not as hot here. I think that has a lot to do with it.

I've returned from a stag weekend of booze and meat... the same weight? I have been stuck on 88.0KG for the last few days.

I am definitely not properly on the diet this week. The temptation of saying "this is fine" is a bit too strong. Treats slip in more regularly. And I really need to get down to a decent race weight! It doesn't help I've not been running either, obviously!

Anyway, that's my moaning.

Solutions welcome? :)

Well done on losses OG, you probably did better this week without thinking about it?

The only problem with small plates is that my soup keeps falling off!
Try putting honey on the bottom of your plate Ed. The soup should stick to that.

I eat my peas with honey
I've done it all my life
It makes the peas taste funny
But it keeps them on the knife.
Was down again this morning, back to the stone value I was at recently, once more. However met up with ex-colleagues for a pub lunch today so unsure what it'll be tomorrow. What's really weird is that was the first time I went for the 'roast of the day' only to find nothing, I repeat, nothing on the plate that had been roasted !
I get so fed up of this.
Yesterday I was down 1.2 lbs since last Wednesday.
Today, allegedly, I'm up 0.4 lbs !
whoops.....forgot. Tomorrow we have no workman coming in so here's hoping I'm in normal tune with my memory.
No change for me still the same .
